Terms of Use

Welcome to the summ.it Hub (“the Hub”).

Thank you for using the Hub which is provided by summ.it assist LLP of 3 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3EB.

By using the summ.it Hub, you are agreeing to these terms.

Please read them carefully.


1. Using the Hub

1.1 Do not misuse the Hub by interfering with or attempting to access the Hub using a method other than the interface and the instructions provide to you by summ.it assist LLP. You may use the Hub only as permitted by law and we reserve the right to suspend or stop the provision of the Hub to you if you do not comply with our terms or policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.

1.2 Using the Hub does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights within it. You may not use content from the Hub unless you obtain permission from summ.it assist LLP or are otherwise permitted by law. These terms grant you the right to use branding or logos but only in the appropriate place within the Hub Company Defaults settings page.

1.3 In connection with your use of the Hub, you agree that we may send you service announcements, administrative messages and other information.

2. Your Hub Account

2.1 You will be provided with a Hub account in order to gain access and enable you to use it. Your account is created for you by summ.it assist LLP upon commencement of your contract and in line with “The Terms and Conditions”. If you are an administrator of your Hub account, you may not change the registration information we hold about you.

2.2 If you learn of any unauthorised use of your password or account, or if you suspect that someone else knows or has changed your password, please reset it so nobody else can sign in to your Hub account using the “forgot password” link.

2.3 If you’re unable to reset your Hub account password, or you can’t sign in to your account, please email hub@summ.it outlining the problem and including a phone number that a summ.it assist LLP advisor can ring you back on / report your issue using the “help” page and a summ.it assist LLP advisor will contact you. Under these circumstances, you may be asked some security questions to prove your identity.

3. Privacy and Copyright Protection

3.1 The Hub Privacy Security Statement and summ.it Data Protection Privacy Notice explains how we treat your personal and your employee’s data and protect your privacy when you use the Hub. By using the Hub, you agree that summ.it assist LLP can use such data in accordance with the Hub Privacy Security Statement and summ.it Data Protection Privacy Notice.

3.2 Copyright of all materials provided pursuant is reserved by summ.it assist LLP without whose written permission it may not be reproduced or modified.

4. Data Protection

4.1 We operate in accordance with the requirements of the general data protection regulations (GDPR) please refer to our separate Data Protection Privacy Notice on our website.


5. Security

5.1 We are committed to ensuring that employee information is kept secure at all times, and to this end please refer to our Hub Privacy Security Statement o our website.

5.2 Employee’s personal access to the Hub will only be via a secure username and password. The username and password for each individual is unique and only allows access to their own personal information. Only certain authorised staff, who are required to have access to the personal information of employees for the purposes of their job role, will be authorised and will have the necessary access rights to do so. They will receive relevant training and will be asked to agree to abide by the terms of Use and Privacy Notice and Security Statement.

5.3 All users of the Hub are encouraged to keep their unique user and password strictly confidential. You must notify us if you become aware of any unauthorised access, and we will notify you if we become aware of any security breach, involving loss, corruption or theft of employee information as soon as we become aware of the breach in question.


6. Subject Access

6.1 Details of the personal information we hold about individual employees maybe requested, in writing, by that individual. This request will be dealt with in line with article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulations


7. Disclosure

7.1 No personal information collected by the Company will be passed to third parties, without permission from the individual employee, unless such disclosure is legally required in accordance with provisions of the General Data Protection Regulations.


8. Your Content in the Hub

8.1. The Hub allows you to submit content which is stored in the Hub. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. It is a condition of use of the Hub that you do not upload content such as music or videos or large files.

8.2. Insofar as you seek advice from summ.it assist LLP about an Employee, the limit of any shared responsibility for that employee’s data is their Forename, Surname, Start Date and Job Title. All other content relating to your employees is your sole responsibility. However, in accepting these terms and conditions, you give approval to suitably authorise summ.it assist LLP staff to review the other content about an employee in order to ensure that the advice you are given is based on the relevant data.


9. Modifications to the Hub

9.1. We are constantly changing and improving the Hub. We may add or remove functionalities or features and we may suspend or stop a function altogether.

9.2. You can stop using the Hub at any time but cancellation must be completed in line with “The Terms and Conditions”.

9.3. We may add or create new limits to the Hub at any time.

9.4. We believe that you own your data, and preserving your access to such data is important. If we discontinue the Hub, where reasonably possible, we will give you reasonable advance notice and a chance to remove information from it.

9.5. In the event that you request your transactional data from the Hub, summ.it assist LLP’s responsibility would end at the point of providing you with “.csv” output files for your employees exactly as they exist within the Hub. The responsibility for that data remains with the client.


10. Our Warranties and Disclaimers

10.1. Other than expressly set out in these terms or additional terms, neither summ.it assist llp nor its suppliers or distributors makes any specific promises about the Hub.


11. Liability for our Services

11.1. Where permitted by law, summ.it assist LLP will not be responsible for lost profits, revenues or data, financial losses or indirect, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages.

11.2. To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of summ.it assist LLP for any claims under these terms, including for any implied warranties, is limited to the amount that you paid to use the Hub (or, if we choose, to supplying you with the Hub again).

11.3. In all cases, summ.it assist LLP will not be liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable.


12. Business users of the Hub

12.1. If you are using the Hub on behalf of a business, that business accepts these terms. It will hold harmless and indemnify summ.it assist LLP and its affiliates, officers, agents and employees from any claim, action or proceedings arising from or related to the use of the Hub or violation of these terms, including any liability or expense arising from claims, losses, damages, judgements, litigation costs and legal fees.


13. About these Terms

13.1. We may modify the “Terms of Use” that apply to the Hub

13.2. In the event of a change you will be notified in writing 14 days prior to the change.
