July marked the end of summ.it partner, Mark Sullivan’s 12 year career with summ.it and the beginning of his retirement. Since he started with the company in 2003, Mark has become an important part of summ.it and the clients he served with his extensive Accounts knowledge and expertise, and large personality. Known for his eccentricities, summ.it decided to celebrate the occasion with a retirement party of a different kind. The summ.it “Hoe Down” held on 3rd July at The Castlefield Rooms in Manchester was compulsory Wild West fancy dress and complete with Ceilidh band, barn dancing and a full hog roast. The whole of summ.it came together with a number of clients and members of Mark’s family and friends to celebrate Mark’s time spent with the company and his upcoming, well-earned rest.
The night included speeches from Mark and the summ.it partners and a near disaster when the whole hog roast took a dive from the table it was on. Fortunately, the staff were quick to respond and no-one went without dinner. The rest of the night went without a hitch and the Cowboys and Indians made peace for an evening.
Mark’s presence and contribution at both summ.it and our clients will be greatly missed but we wish Mark and his wife, Jude, many happy years of retirement and all our best wishes for the future.
